Violet’s Turn to ServeVanderbilt Hospital Welcomes Facility Dog Squid

As a result of Victor’s service in the U.S. Army, he has a traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In February 2020, Victor was matched with Service Dog Violet, who is trained in commands specifically designed to help mitigate the symptoms of PTSD. Victor shares, “She’s the best thing that ever happened to me.” Read more about this special partnership.

Ten years ago, Brittney watched as her sister Te’a received Babette, her Canine Companions skilled companion. Brittney wanted to give back to the organization that had provided her sister with an incredible service dog, so she became a volunteer puppy raiser.
