Welcome to the Atlanta Chapter website. Our chapter includes graduates, volunteers, puppy raisers and donors who are enthusiastic about the mission of Canine Companions - providing expertly trained assistance dogs for people with disabilities, free of charge. We are a volunteer group that supports Canine Companions at the local level by raising public awareness, recruiting new applicants and puppy raisers, and organizing fundraising events. The purpose of this website is to provide volunteers, donors, and others with information about our activities.
Please join us for our major fundraising event on Monday, October 12 - Chip In for Canines - a day of golf, puppies, and fun all benefiting Canine Companions for Independence.
What’s a Chapter?
If you’re looking for deeper engagement as a Canine Companions volunteer, we encourage you to get involved with our chapter. The Atlanta Chapter Volunteer Chapter is an extension of the Southeast Regional Training Center. We work to raise awareness, recruit new puppy raisers and volunteers and support one another’s work on behalf of the Canine Companions’ mission.
We are a lively network filled with opportunities for social engagement, from puppy classes to fundraisers. Beyond the satisfaction of doing good work for Canine Companions, lifelong friendships are often formed among chapter members. If you are interested in working with our chapter, contact us. We’d love to meet you!
