South Bay Chapter

Northwest Region

Welcome to the South Bay Chapter website. Established in 1993, we are a volunteer group that supports Canine Companions for Independence at the local level by raising public awareness, recruiting new applicants, puppy raisers, and breeder caretakers and organizing fund raising events. Our service area includes Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and San Mateo Counties. Volunteers from San Francisco and Monterey County are welcome to participate in any of our activities. The purpose of this website is to provide volunteers, donors, and others information about our activities. Learn more about the South Bay Chapter.

What’s a Chapter?

If you’re looking for deeper engagement as a Canine Companions volunteer, we encourage you to get involved with our chapter. The South Bay Volunteer Chapter is an extension of the Northwest Regional Training Center. We work to raise awareness, recruit new puppy raisers and volunteers and support one another’s work on behalf of the Canine Companions’ mission.

We are a lively network filled with opportunities for social engagement, from puppy classes to fundraisers. Beyond the satisfaction of doing good work for Canine Companions, lifelong friendships are often formed among chapter members. If you are interested in working with our chapter, contact us. We’d love to meet you!
