Northwest Region Graduations
Canine Companions graduation ceremonies represent the culmination of hard work, love and dedication of many people, including breeder caretakers, puppy raisers, instructors, volunteers, staff members and graduates.
Canine Companions is taking precautions related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) to limit its effect on our community. We are taking additional steps to protect our team members, volunteers and clients and have made the decision to cancel on campus events and graduation ceremonies for the time being. We understand that this decision may be disappointing, but we know it is in the best interest of all. While the ceremonies won’t take place, we will be working with our students to continue placing our expertly trained assistance dogs.
These measures are being taken in an abundance of caution and in accordance with the guidelines put forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as we have no known contact with the virus at this time. We are grateful to our generous community and appreciate all continued efforts to fulfill our mission of enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by providing expertly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support completely free of charge.
We know this is an unprecedented time and our thoughts are with those who have been impacted. Thank you for your understanding and support.
While we’re unable to host in-person graduation ceremonies, we’re still matching incredible assistance dog teams! Click here to watch videos of the new teams on our YouTube channel!*
