Luke and Rummy

Nine years ago, Luke was in a snowboarding accident that left him with a spinal cord injury. Luke was left unable to walk and had to adjust to navigating life in a wheelchair. In 2019, Luke found his perfect match in Service Dog Rummy. “Rummy has affected my life positively in so many ways. He picks up various items like my keys or my phone when I drop them. He’s hands down the best dog that I could have been placed with. Our personalities just match! His favorite command is “lap” and it’s mine too,” Luke shares.

Since being matched with Service Dog Rummy, Luke has been able to keep up his active lifestyle thanks to the life-changing assistance Rummy provides.

Luke still hits the slopes and works for a nonprofit that provides resources and hope to people with disabilities through adaptive sports like skiing and snowboarding. Thanks to the additional support from Rummy, Luke can continue to uplift others and no longer has to ask for help with day to day tasks.
