Most famously known for portraying “Timmy” on the iconic 1950s and 60s television show, Lassie, Jon Provost has always held animals close to his heart. After a hiatus from show business, Provost received a Genesis Award for Outstanding Television in a Family Series for an episode of New Lassie he wrote focusing on the inhumane treatment of research animals.
Jon has been an honorary National Board Member for Canine Companions for Independence for over 20 years. He and his wife reside in Sonoma County, California.
