ABOUT

Welcome to the San Francisco South Bay Chapter website. Established in 1993, we are a volunteer group that supports Canine Companions at the local level by raising public awareness, recruiting new applicants, puppy raisers, and breeder caretakers and organizing fund raising events. Our service area includes Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Mateo and San Francisco Counties. Volunteers from Monterey County are welcome to participate in any of our activities. The purpose of this website is to provide volunteers, donors, and others information about our activities.

The San Francisco South Bay Chapter is composed of more than 80 service and facility dog teams plus puppy raisers and breeder caretakers. Volunteers without a Canine Companions dog are welcome to volunteer their time and skills also. We provide weekly classes for puppy raisers led by a certified professional dog trainer to enhance the puppy raising experience and to facilitate success. The San Francisco South Bay Chapter is a large Canine Companions family that locally supports its graduate teams, puppy raisers and breeder caretakers.
