Hiring Range: $18.06 - 21.37 DOE

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position works closely with the Development Director in the identification, solicitation and development of community, local and regional fundraising resources, by coordinating fundraising and other events and venues while collaborating with volunteer coordinator and regional program/training staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Plan, coordinate, and organize local and regional fund raising events and graduations.
  • Assist Development Director to underwrite special event costs from vendors, businesses and corporations.
  • Develop sponsorship agreements with vendors, businesses and corporations; provide sponsorship acknowledgement and donor cultivation for future events. Track, record and report all activity.
  • Coordinate logistics for Team Training graduations (usually four per year) and Hearing Team Training graduations (up to three per year).
  • Work with program staff to create graduation presentations, slide shows and/or videos.
  • Solicit businesses for donated auction/prize items.
  • Coordinate regional participation in giving campaigns; serve as liaison for and maintain list of local or regional companies with matching gift policies.
  • Provide backup administrative support such as data entry, gift acknowledgment, campus tours and on-campus activities, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or department.

REQUIRED ABILITIES:

  • Fundraising, event logistics and coordination experience.
  • Ability to use computerized programs such as database, data processing, and other communication software programs.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Computer experience; special event planning experience.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: College graduate or equivalent.

REQUIRED LICENSES: None.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work indoors and outdoors performing development and administrative duties. Weekend work required.
