 The Los Angeles Office of Canine Companions for Independence will host a four-part special event - Puppy Summer Sundays. Join Canine Companions and learn how the nonprofit organization provides assistance dogs for people with disabilities completely free of charge.Sunday, May 22 Sunday, June 26 Sunday, July 24 Sunday, August 21 From 12 Noon to 2PM on four summer Sundays, the office located at 2312 Westwood Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90064 will be turned into a training room for Canine Companions puppies-in-program. A Canine Companions' instructor from the Southwest Regional Center in Oceanside will lead the classes. The instructor and another staff person will be available for questions from potential puppy raisers and others wanting to become more involved in Canine Companion's activities in Los Angeles.
As the pups are put through their paces there will command training to observe and an endless supply of lighthearted fun. Local graduates will stop by to remind everyone of the puppy raiser's motivation and reward for 18-months of the hardest volunteer job that anyone could ever love!
