Canine Companions for Independence - Colorado The Canine Companions Colorado Office has been making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities since 1992, working with the Southwest Regional office to serve the state of Colorado. Volunteers form the backbone of our organization and volunteer puppy raisers are in high demand. Puppy raisers care for future Canine Companions assistance dogs for the first year and a half of their lives. If you or someone you know may be interested in this highly rewarding volunteer position, please contact the Colorado office at 719-260-6151 or 303-462-4646. Puppy classes for Canine Companions volunteers are held twice a month in Colorado Springs and Denver. We welcome guests! If you would like to attend a class, please contact the Colorado office to confirm the class schedule. Presentations are offered for schools, civic groups, meetings, and the like. Check out the presentation page for more information and to submit your request. ANNUAL EVENTS IN COLORADO:
