Yaz was my first assistance dog from Canine Companions. With Yaz I became more confident because I was independent. Having Yaz brought my personality out and I graduated from college, got married and even went skydiving. Ehreth, my second assistance dog, and I worked together as a team for nearly six years. He was diagnosed with a rare condition and given just a few weeks to live. But he lived for six months after that, and enjoyed every minute of it! He lived with such enthusiasm and joy. I'll never forget Ehreth and the courage and determination that he showed me. Goodness knows I needed courage and determination as I worked toward and received my master's degree. Thankfully, I had Ehreth by my side. Now it's me and Sakai. So far we've landed my dream job and coached the wheelchair rugby national champions. And we've just gotten started! Your gift today will help another person receive an assistance dog and who knows what they'll accomplish after that...coaching the wheelchair rugby national champions. A master's degree. Skydiving.
