Canine Companions Salutes IndependenceCanine Companions for Independence will hold a free community event in Austin, Texas on Saturday, September 4, 2010 from 11AM to 3PM. Called CANINE COMPANIONS SALUTES INDEPENDENCE, the event is geared toward military veterans, active duty service members, their families and friends. CANINE COMPANIONS SALUTES INDEPENDENCE will highlight the Wounded Veterans Initiative, which was established to place assistance dogs with injured service members from the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts. If you are an injured veteran or want to help injured veterans in your community, we encourage you to attend!
