Art Fundraiser & Reception: Riverwoods, Illinois: Sunday, 04/29/12 at the Holiday Inn Express, 2600 Lake Cook Rd. 1pm – 4pm. Prints and framed pieces of art cut 50% and available for donations of $20 -$200. Coffee, punch and sweet table will be provided.

Alpha Sigma Phi Bike-a-Thon: Libertyville, Illinois: Friday, 05/04/12 at the Century 21 Building, 200 N. Milwaukee Ave. 4pm – 8pm. Potluck dinner will be provided to the members of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity from the Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Michigan. This group of men ride their bicycles around Lake Michigan to raise funds and awareness for Canine Companions. Help out by providing food and/or supplies for the event and get an opportunity to meet some great guys!

Main Display Windows: Barrington, Illinois: All-day everyday June 1 – June 29 at the Barrington Area Public Library, 505 N. Northwest Highway. Help design and set-up main display windows with information about Canine Companions or visit the library to learn more about the assistance dogs we breed, train and place with people with disabilities.

Day at the Races: Arlington Heights, Illinois: Saturday, 08/04/12 at the Arlington Park Racecourse, International Room, 2000 Euclid Ave. Tickets go on sale May 1: $150 per person prime window seating or $100 per person general seating. This 23rd annual event that sells out includes all-day live horse racing, a fabulous lunch buffet, open bar, reserved seating, opportunity drawings and an extensive silent auction. All proceeds will directly benefit Canine Companions.
