




The Southwest Regional Center of CCI, located in Oceanside, CA has an ongoing need for volunteers. If you are not in the area, click here to find the champions nearest you. You can help us make miracles happen in the lives of people with disabilities and their families. The following volunteer opportunities are available:
Volunteer Puppy Raising - This is where the miracles begin! Raise one of the puppies from our breeding program and provide basic obedience and socialization for 14-16 months. For more information about our puppy raising program, click here. Office Assistance - Work with our dedicated staff at the Regional Center in a professional yet casual office. Volunteers with general office and computer skills needed to assist with mailings, data entry, filing, answering phones, and general organization. - Do you have advanced graphic arts skills or Website design experience? We are always in need of people with artistic skills to help us design and create brochures, flyers, webpages, T-shirt designs and other artistic projects! Event Support - Groups as well as individuals can help support our events! CCI has events throughout the year that rely on volunteer support and leadership. Have fun and meet wonderful people while helping CCI fulfill its Mission. There are quarterly graduation ceremonies, gala fundraisers, the Woofstock Festival, as well as outreach booths and presentations to spread the word about CCI. Jobs include event planning committees, event set-up and take-down, gift shop sales, refreshment providers, event registrations, outreach, photographers and videographers, graphic artists, and many others.Quarterly Hands-On CCI Days - Groups are welcome! CCI needs help every three months preparing our facility to be a warm, comfortable and beautiful home to our students and out-of-town visitors. There is a fun social atmosphere with music and food to keep you energized. Example duties for Hands-On CCI include: seasonal decorating, preparing dorm rooms, gardening, sweeping, laundry, cape sewing, kitchen patrol, dusting, cleaning windows, organizing, etc. Team Training Lunch Providers - Are you looking for a group project? Students and their families stay on campus for two weeks to attend daily training classes, where they are taught how to work with their Canine Companions. Many wonderful volunteers provide and serve lunches for the class during team Trainings. Facility and Grounds Maintenance - Do you love to garden? Have a passion for home repairs? You can help keep the Oceanside campus a beautiful place for our students, staff and visitors. Campus Docents - Train to become a docent by learning the history and program of CCI to guide campus tours. |
