The Southwest Region has been making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities since 1986, serving the states of Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Southern California, Southern Nevada and Hawaii. The Dean, Gerda and Trixie Koontz Campus is in Oceanside, California and offers regular tours.

Volunteers form the backbone of our organization. Puppy raisers care for future Canine Companions assistance dogs for the first year and a half of their lives. Other Canine Companions volunteers help with special events, office duties, grounds maintenance, and more. There are Champions volunteer chapters throughout the region. We also maintain a satellite office in Colorado. Contact the chapter nearest you to see how you can get involved.

You can also support the Southwest Region by shopping in our gift shop or buying a tile in our Tribute Garden.

For more information, call us or take a tour of our Oceanside facility! Click here for a map. You may also choose to request a presentation by a Canine Companions representative for your group, organization or company.
