Celebrating Our New CEO and Service Dog Month

Earlier this month, Canine Companions for Independence welcomed Paige Mazzoni as our new CEO. Paige comes to our organization with over 25 years of professional experience, concentrated in corporate strategy and management, strategic initiative development and marketing implementation. We are thrilled she is here and look forward to the greater ability to serve more clients with her vision and leadership.

Of course, there is another reason to celebrate - September is National Service Dog Month. This provides Canine Companions®, a leader in the assistance dog industry, the special opportunity to share our mission, advocate for people with disabilities, promote service dog etiquette and support our graduates in even more ways.

Paige recently shared, “As we celebrate National Service Dog Month, I’d like to recognize our extraordinary dogs and the staff, supporters and donors that make it possible to serve so many. I am excited to be a part of the Canine Companions team. Together we will continue to do great things for our clients and their amazing assistance dog partners.”

While Canine Companions celebrates our graduates and assistance dogs every day, this National Service Dog Month, we look forward to sharing more stories of the wonderful ways our expertly-trained assistance dogs enhance the lives of people with disabilities.
