Puppy Class at National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy
As part of training puppies to handle new experiences, our puppy class visited the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy in Woodside. The pups met several horses of various sizes and breeds as well as two donkeys, a Corgi, and a cat who was nonplussed about seeing so many dogs at once. These horses are used to give both children and adults with disabilities more confidence, a sense of control, and to help develop more balance and speech. It was an interesting visit for both the dogs and their handlers.
